Vietnamese functional agencies are launching necessary procedures to take the bodies of three tourists killed in the attack back to the homeland as soon as possible.

The three serious injured people are under intensive treatment in Egypt and expect to leave Cairo when their health is improved.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt is working with Egyptian functional agencies to deal with the case.

The Consular Department has proposed domestic related authorities to facilitate immigration procedures for the repatriation of the bodies of the deceased home quickly.

The Vietnamese tourists were victims of a bombing in Egypt on December 28. Their bus was hit by a bomb at 18:15 (local time) on the way to the airport to return home after a trip to Giza pyramids, concluding their seven-day tour organized by Saigontourist. Three Vietnamese tourists and one Egyptian guide were killed in the bombing.
