Young officers of the coast guard forces of Vietnam and China joined an exchange programme, the central city of Da Nang, December 24 |
At the programme, second of its kind, young Vietnamese and Chinese coast guard officers exchanged information on activities and reviewed cooperation to strengthen friendship.
They shared experience on political and ideological work, search and rescue activities, along with law enforcement at the sea.
The event aimed to affirm the agreement on fishery cooperation in the Gulf of Tonkin, signed in 2000 by the two countries.
It has also contributed to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the two countries, and enhancing effective cooperation in implementing the agreement on joint inspection regulations with China.
On this occasion, the two sides also shared experiences in fishing vessel management, search and rescue missions at sea, marine environmental protection, and maritime safety; disseminated laws and other regulations at sea to fishermen.
