Party Central Committee’s ninth plenary meeting opens

In his opening address, Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong stressed that the working agenda and duration of this session are short, but the issues debated and decided are very important.

During the session, the Party Central Committee are expected to discuss the personnel planning of the CPV Central Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure, and conduct a vote of confidence on members of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat.

The Committee will give comments on a review report on the leadership and instruction of the Politburo and Secretariat in 2018 and take disciplinary measures against officials following the Party’s regulations.

The meeting will last until December 27./.
