PM Phuc acknowledged the contributions and efforts of the Professor to education cooperation between Viet Nam and the U.S. including the implementation of the Viet Nam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) and the Fulbright University Viet Nam (FUV) project.

The host leader was convinced that with the prestige of the Harvard University and Viet Nam, the FUV can find funds to operate effectively.

He also praised the qualifications of lecturers of the FUV, saying that their recommendations have had positive impacts on Viet Nam's development.

In reply, Professor Vallely expressed his impression of Viet Nam’s strong development in recent years.

The guest leader took the occasion to thank the Vietnamese Government for its support for the establishment of the FUV, affirming to convert the university into a reputable and quality education institution.

Mr. Vallely proposed naming the school of public policy and management (the VELP program) under the FUV after late PM Vo Van Kiet - one of the prominent Vietnamese leaders, whose name is associated with the renovation process, and the school's most important lecture hall after late US Senator John McCain, who has many contributions to normalizing Viet Nam-U.S. relations./.
