The Government even outperformed some of the goals, PM Phuc added.
In November last year, the Legislature passed a resolution on the 2018 socio-economic development plan that includes key goals on GDP, export, poverty reduction, urban unemployment, and trained rate of workforce among others.

The economy expanded 6.98% between January and September, the highest rate since 2011, while consumer price index in November saw a month-on-month decline of 0.29%, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.
Index of industrial production (IIP) in the first 11 months of 2018 increased by 9.7% compared with the same period last year, led by strong growth of processing and manufacturing (11%), followed by electricity production and distribution (9.2%).
Disbursed volume of foreign investment reached US$16.5% in the first 11 months, up 3.1% against the same period last year.
Foreign arrivals to Viet Nam rose 21.3% to 14.12 million in the reviewed period, said the GSO.
Also at the meeting, PM Phuc also urged inferior levels to strive for the growth rate of 6.8% next year./.
