Hue made the remarks at his reception for Jan Rielander, Head of the OECD’s Multi-dimensional Country Reviews Development Center, in Ha Noi on Monday.

Viet Nam treasures cooperation with the OECD in both bilateral and multilateral aspects, affirmed Deputy PM Hue.

He expressed thanks for the OECD’s assistance for Viet Nam to complete the evaluation of public investment policies.

For his part, Jan Rielander spoke highly of Viet Nam’s role and position in Southeast Asia and Asia-Pacific as well as the country’s full membership of the OECD’s Multi-dimensional Country Reviews Development Center since 2018.

The OECD is working with countries, including Viet Nam, to build Multi-dimensional Country Reviews in order to provide governments policy recommendations towards ensuring human development, prosperity and peace, Jan Rielander said.

Regarding this point, Deputy PM Hue said Viet Nam is reviewing the 2011-2020 socio-economic development strategy and beginning to formulate another strategy for 2020-2030 period. Thus, the Multi-dimensional Country Review would help the Vietnamese Government to better design development policies in the next stage.
