CPI in October up 0.33%

VGP – The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in October rose 0.33% against the previous month, according to the General Statistics Office.

The CPI in October witnessed a year-on-year increase of 3.89% and up 3.54% against December last year. 

The average CPI over the recent 10 months of the year picked up 3.6% compared to the same period last year. 

10 out of 11 groups of commodities and services saw increases in prices. The price of transport group took the lead with 1.55%, followed by education up 0.58%, housing and building material up 0.31%, restaurants and food services up 0.22%, garments, hats and footwear up 0.15%, equipments and household commodity up 0.11%, culture, entertainment and tourism up 0.09%, goods and other services up 0.09%, beverage and tobacco up 0.03% and medicine and health services up 0.02%. 

Only the price of post and telecommunications group decreased 0.04%. 

According to the report, the core inflation rate in October rose 0.13% against the previous month and up 1.67% in comparison with the same period last year. 

After 10 months, the core inflation increased 1.43%.
