The ties between Viet Nam and Indonesia have progressed remarkably. Indonesia is an important economic partner of Viet Nam with over 70 projects worth over US$ 500 million. Last year, two-way trade turnover touched US$ 6.5 billion.

However, the trade and investment cooperation remains moderate and fails to meet respective potentials, said PM Phuc.

The KADIN plays an important role in promoting economic ties between the two countries and assisting business connectivity. Hence, PM Phuc hoped that the KADIN would establish close coordination with the Viet Nam Chamber of Industry and Trade.

PM Phuc recommended the KADIN propose more favorable measures for Vietnamese exports in verification of origin, certifications, animal and plant quarantine.

In reply, Mr. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani assessed that Viet Nam was successful in market opening and FDI attraction. He was interested in tourism and hotel investment opportunities in Viet Nam.

PM Phuc expressed his aspiration that Mr. Rosan Perkasa Roeslani would organize more tourism and hotel promotion events and Vietnanese agencies are ready to assist him in doing so.
