PM: VN facilitates Japanese firms' operation expansion in VN

VGP – Viet Nam commits to creating a favorable business environment for Japanese businesses and proposes Japanese firms expand operation and enhance connections with Vietnamese partners.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc made that statement at his reception for leaders from some Japanese enterprises on October 8 on the sidelines of the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit in Tokyo, Japan.

At these meetings, the PM asserted that Viet Nam highly spoke of the crucial role of Japanese enterprises in promoting the two sides’ relations. 

During the meeting with President and CEO of All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA) Shinobe Osamu, the Vietnamese leader expected that the largest airlines in Japan will boost cooperation with Viet Nam’s airlines, welcoming the ANA to purchase more stocks at the Viet Nam Airlines. 

He encouraged the ANA to promote cooperation in training human resources for Viet Nam’s airlines and join in transport chain and aviation service supply. 

The ANA hailed the support from the Vietnamese Government, adding that the corporation is accelerating the implementation of projects connecting with Viet Nam’s localities such as Da Nang City, Nha Trang City and Phu Quoc Island, said Mr. Shinobe Osamu.

The ANA is willing to coordinating with the Japanese Government to facilitate more Vietnamese citizens to migrate to Japan.

During the meeting with President/Group CEO at AEON Co Ltd. Okada Motors, PM Phuc called the AEON, the world’s largest retail sale corporation, to put more made-in-Viet Nam products, especially agricultural products at AEON’s markets in the world. 

He proposed the corporation develop large-scale and modern commercial center systems and train more human resources for the retail sales sector in Viet Nam. 

Mr. Okada Motoya committed to taking Vietnamese products into AEON’s market chains in the world, suggesting the Vietnamese Government facilitate import procedures for products made by Japan to enter Viet Nam and AEON to invest in private credit to enhance advanced transactions.

While meeting with Chief Executive Officer and President of Mitsui & Co. Ltd. Tasuo Yasunaga on the same day, Mr. Phuc asserted that the Vietnamese Government will create favorable conditions for Mitsu to pour more investment in infrastructure and energy, especially the solar energy, high-tech and artificial intelligence. 

For his side, Mr. Tasuo Yasunaga committed to continuing long-term investment in Viet Nam.
