Viet Nam earned US$2 billion from exporting fruits and vegetables to China in eight months, up 11.6%.
Other markets witnessed high growths such as Thailand (up 37.9%), Australia (up 36%), the U.S. (up 26.3%) and the Republic of Korea (up 21.4%).
Viet Nam’s imports of fruits and vegetables reached US$156 million, raising the total import value in nine months to US$1.3 billion, up 12.7%.
The import value of fruits and vegetables attained US$33 million and US$911 million, up 35.9% and 0.8%, respectively.
Viet Nam mainly imported fruits and vegetables from Thailand (making up 45%) and China (accounting for 21.9%) over the recent eight months of 2018.
