Nine-month GDP growth sets record in eight years

VGP - The GDP growth over the recent nine months of 2018 was estimated at 6.98%, the highest figure recorded compared to the same period over the past eight years, according to the General Statistics Office.

The achievement has manifested the effectiveness of the leadership of the PM and Government and efforts of ministries, sectors and local administrations since the early days and months of this year, said Director General of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Bich Lam.

The average CPI growth for the nine-month period was 3.57% year on year, while export value increased by 15.4% and import up 11.8%.
