New VN-China bilateral border gates inaugurated

VGP – Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue on September 10 announced the official opening of the border gate pair -- Chi Ma of Viet Nam–Ai Dian of China which is located in Loc Binh district of Lang Son province and Ning Ming County in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The inauguration of the border gate pair   is expected to help intensifying the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Lang Son province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in particular, and between Viet Nam and China in general.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Province’s People’s Committee Nguyen Cong Truong said that as many as 3,000 Vietnamese enterprises join export-import activities annually, with the total export-import value of US$8 billion per year. 

The inauguration of the border gate pair created a crucial mark in the relationship between Lang Son Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the two nations, enhancing trade ties, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, he added. 

Deputy Communist Party Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Sun Dawei asserted that the border gate pair will be upheld to become the main commercial gateway, connecting the relationship between the two nations and localities. 

Mr. Truong expected that the two sides’ functional agencies to strengthen management and operation of the border gate pair and facilitate organizations and individuals to join export-import activities and invest in border areas as well as address related issues to boost economic development, bringing benefits for their people. 

When the border gate pair Chi Ma of Viet Nam–Ai Dian of China comes into operation, Lang Son Province has 12 bilateral and international border gates with China.
