At the meeting with the U.S. business delegation, the PM asserted that Viet Nam attaches importance to the cooperative relationship with the U.S., highlighting the developments in the two nations’ relations and sharp increase in the two-way trade value over the recent years.

He expected that U.S. enterprises operating in the digital economy will enhance cooperation and technology transfer for Viet Nam.

The U.S. business highly spoke of the Vietnamese Government and PM’s efforts in reforming administrative procedures, improving the business environment and attracting foreign visitors to Viet Nam, affirmed Mr. Adam Sitkoff.

Representatives of some U.S. corporations expressed their delight on expanding operation in Viet Nam, hoping that the Vietnamese Government and PM will facilitate these enterprises to successfully launch business in Viet Nam in fields of the digital economy, smart city, pharmacy and energy.

They expected to support Viet Nam in training high-quality human resources, thus making practical contributions to developing economics, trade and investment.

The Vietnamese Government always creates favorable conditions for U.S. firms to invest in Viet Nam, regarding it as a key factor in the bilateral relationship, said PM Phuc.

During the meeting with the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s business delegation on the same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that the RoK is currently the largest investor in Viet Nam and the number of nearly 160,000 Korean and Vietnamese people living in each side.

Mr. Huh Chang Soo forecasted that Viet Nam’s economy continues fast growths and strong development in the bilateral relationship, adding that the two-way trade value will reach US$100 billion by 2020.

He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will facilitate the RoK’s enterprises to invest in Viet Nam.

PM Phuc suggested the RoK’s firms to pour more investment in Viet Nam in such areas as high-technology, hard industry and infrastructure development, asking to enhance close coordination between the two sides’ businesses and promote import of Viet Nam’s products to balance trade value.
