Kien Giang facilitates investment in 64 projects

VGP – The southern province of Kien Giang is calling for investment for 64 projects, focusing on high-tech agriculture, agricultural processing industry, water supply and treatment, renewable energy and tourism.

An investment promotion forum aiming to introduce the potential, advantages, mechanism and preferential policies of Kien Giang province was held on August 13 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Thi Minh Phung highlighted the province’s GRDP growth of 7.39%, reaching VND57,586 billion in 2017.

The province has attracted the total registered capital of VND503,763 billion in 680 projects, she added, committing that foreign investors will be provided with the most favorable conditions for launching their projects successfully in the province.

A number of memorandums of understandings were inked at the forum to boost cooperation in trade and tourism.
