New UK Ambassador to VN begins term of office

VGP - The newly-accredited UK Ambassador to Viet Nam Gareth Ward presented credentials of Queen Elizabeth II to President Tran Dai Quang in Ha Noi on August 7, commencing his tenure as UK ambassador to Viet Nam.

Addressing the reception, Ambassador Gareth Ward expressed his honour to be the new ambassador to Viet Nam, especially when the UK-Vietnam relations have entered a new phase. 

After 45 years of diplomatic ties and eight years of strategic partnership, bilateral relations have developed in a deeper manner.
