Disciplinary action for Deputy Ministers of Public Security

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on August 8 signed decisions on disciplinary actions for Tran Viet Tan, Senior Lieutenant General, former Deputy Minister of Public Security and Bui Van Thanh, Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of Public Security over their wrongdoings.

Accordingly, Bui Van Thanh is dismissed from his post as Deputy Minister of Public Security and Tran Viet Tan is stripped off his title as former Deputy Minister of Public Security for the 2011-2016 tenure.

The same day, the PM signed a document submitted to the State President on demoting Tan from the rank of Senior Lieutenant General to Lieutenant General, and Thanh from Lieutenant General to Colonel.
