Fire-affected Vietnamese households in Cambodia get support

VGP – Fire destroyed houses of 60 Cambodians of Vietnamese origin on July 10, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia.

The fire happened for hours and destroyed houses and assets of 60 houses of Cambodians of Vietnamese origin and 10 houses of Khmer people in Russey Keo District, Phnom Penh. No deaths or injuries were reported.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Embassy in Cambodia and relevant agencies to update information and support the Vietnamese to stabilize their live.

The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs has sent letters of condolences and presents of Overseas Vietnamese from other countries to the families with houses destroyed in the fire as well as joined hand with related agencies in re-building efforts.
