93% of foreign visitors feel satisfied with Viet Nam trip

VGP – 93.46% of foreign visitors to Viet Nam expressed their satisfaction with their trip to the country, according to the annual report of the Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in 2017 and outcomes of a research on foreign visitors launched by VNAT.

Only 5.91% of foreigners to Viet Nam assessed normal and 0.63% of whom felt dissatisfied. 

The investigation aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of tourist statistics work. The survey was conducted with 27,000 sample votes at 12 international border gates across the country (four air ports, four land border gates and four sea ports).

The report showed that 92.56% of foreigners to Viet Nam stayed overnight while only 7.44% visited within a day. 

Package tour visitors accounted for 40%, while the rest were traveling on their own.

Over the recent years, the number of foreign tourists to Viet Nam witnessed fast growth, contributing more than US$20 billion per year. 

In the first half of 2018, 7.9 million foreign visitors travelled to Viet Nam, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%. 

The number of domestic tourists reached 42.8 million ones (including 20.5 million staying guests). 

The total revenue from tourism attained VND312,000 billion, up 22.5% against the previous year.
