PM receives newly-appointed Ambassadors from RoK, Mozambique

At the meeting with the RoK’s Ambassador, PM Phuc hailed the growth of 15% in the two-way trade value in the first quarter of 2018, appraising the RoK’s first position in investing in Viet Nam and second among the largest Official Development Assistance (ODA) providers for Viet Nam. 

The Vietnamese Government leader stressed the need to reach the two-way trade turnover of US$100 billion before 2020, expecting the two sides to take measures to balance trade in the upcoming time. 

Viet Nam is equitizing its State-owned enterprises in a number of crucial areas, he said, expressing his hope that businesses from the RoK will purchase stakes and become strategic stakeholders. 

Mr.  Kim Do Hyun highlighted Viet Nam’s development potential, adding that the nation may become the economic center of Southeast Asia. 

He said that he met with Ambassadors and professionals working in Viet Nam and they highly value the role of the Vietnamese Government and measures to promote the nation’s socio-economic development to gain key achievements. 

The RoK’s Ambassador expected that more enterprises from Viet Nam will join the RoK businesses' global production chain. 

He affirmed to do his utmost to make contribution to start-up in Viet Nam.

Receiving Mozambique’s Ambassador on the same day, PM Phuc confirmed that Viet Nam is willing to send experienced professionals in agriculture, education and health to assist Mozambique to develop these crucial areas.

He consented that the two nations soon organize the meeting of the Inter-Governmental Committee, proposing the Mozambican Government to facilitate Vietnamese enterprises to invest in coal and gas as well as telecommunications and agriculture. 

Mr. Leonardo Pene expressed thanks to the PM for sending professionals to help Mozambique in agricultural development, especially rice cultivation. 

He expected to strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam in other crucial areas such as health, education and energy.
