Chilean President welcomes Vietnamese leader to attend APEC 2019

Welcoming the Vietnamese newly-appointed Ambassador, the Chilean President conveyed greetings to State President Tran Dai Quang and other Vietnamese leaders. 

Mr. Sebastian Piñera hailed Viet Nam’s economic development over the recent years, recalling his official visit to Viet Nam in March 2012. 

He expressed his delights at  the two nations’ cooperative and friendship relations over the recent 45 years, asking both to expand the bilateral relationship in fields of economics and trade. 

The President welcomes the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation to visit Chile and attend the APEC 2019. 

The Vietnamese Ambassador reported the situations in Viet Nam, committing to making contributions to developing the two nations’ relationship 

Viet Nam and Chile set up diplomatic ties in 1971. The two-way trade value reached US$1.3 billion in 2017.
