Speaking at the event on May 15, PM Phuc required the sector effectively implement the Political Bureau’s Resolution No.22 on renewing and re-organizing the Ministry of Public Security more effectively.

The police force must maintain disciplines, playing a key role in crime prevention and actively struggle against corruption, he said.

The PM requested completing supervision and inspection mechanisms to ensure transparency and effectiveness as well as modernize equipment and techniques to meet requirements for new tasks.

He urged the sector to pay more attention to lives of police officials and launch a policy for accredited people and households of martyrs and injured ones.

Over the recent five years, 47 policemen sacrificed their lives and nearly 1,400 others were injured while on duty.
