At the meeting with Brazilian Ambassador to Viet Nam Marco Antonio Diniz Brandão, the two sides hailed the two nations’ high-raking delegation exchanges and the two-way trade value of nearly US$4 billion in 2017, 12 times higher over the recent 10 years.

Mr. Marco Antonio Diniz Brandão expressed his delight on the two Governments’ concerns about the development of the private sector, adding that Brazil is making efforts in connecting the Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR) and ASEAN.

Viet Nam attaches importance to the relations with Brazil,  a large trade partner of Viet Nam in Latin America, said Deputy PM Hue, proposing measures to reach the two-way trade value of US$10 billion by 2020.

He supposed that the two countries may enhance cooperation in such areas as coffee processing and commercialization, aquatic products, renewable energy, biological energy, defense industry and facilitate the two sides’ businesses to get access to each other’s market.

The Vietnamese leader expected that the two Governments will establish a number of crucial cooperative relations in fields of education, defense, aviation, agriculture and business development.

Ambassador Marco Antonio Diniz Brandão asserted that the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy will do their utmost to prepare the Vietnamese leaders’ upcoming visit to Brazil, contributing to promoting diplomatic, politic and economic relations.
