Polish diplomat receives friendship insignia

VGP - The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) has presented the “For peace and friendship among nations” insignia to outgoing Polish Ambassador to Viet Nam Barbara Szymanowska for contributions to strengthening mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

VUFO Vice President Bui Khac Son gave the honour to outgoing Polish Ambassador to Viet Nam Barbara Szymanowska at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on on May 8.

He said during her working term in Viet Nam, Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska coordinated closely with Vietnamese agencies as well as the VUFO and the Viet Nam - Poland Friendship Association in organising joint activities on major events of both countries.

Mr. Son expressed his hope that in the future, in any position, Barbara Szymanowska will continue her efforts to boost the friendship and partnership between Viet Nam and Poland.

VUFO Vice President Son said during her working term in Viet Nam, Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska has made great efforts in fostering the Viet Nam-Poland partnership in many fields from politics-diplomacy to trade, economy, development cooperation, education, and people-to-people exchange.

For her part, Ambassador Barbara Szymanowska said that she is delighted and proud of receiving the insignia.

Over the past nearly four years, she and staff of the Polish Embassy in Viet Nam, the Viet Nam-Poland Friendship Organisation as well as people of both countries have implemented many exchange activities and programmesto further bolster the Viet Nam-Poland ties.

Poland is always here whenever Viet Nam needs, she stressed, adding that both sides should exert every effort to further bilateral economic and trade collaboration to match their potential.

The diplomat also pledged that in any position, she always works hard for the development of friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
