16 items join US$1 bln export club

VGP – As many as 16 items joined the US$1 billion export club at the end of April 2018, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The export value of these 16 items reached US$60.34 billion, accounting for 81% of the nation’s total export value.

Viet Nam’s key export items in the first four months of the year included phones and accessories (US$16.597 billion), computers, electronics and spare parts (US$8.334 billion),textiles and garments (US$8.625 billion), machines, equipment and tools (US$4.987 billion) and footwear (US$4.544 billion).

Other items were aquatic products (US$2.418 billion), fruits and vegetables (US$1.29 billion), cashew (US$1.025 billion), coffee (US$1.332 billion), rice (US$1.092 billion), bags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas (US$1.042 billion), wood (US$2.617 billion), fibers (US$1.209 billion), iron and steel (US$1.307 billion), cameras and accessories (US$1.267 billion) and vehicles and tools (US$2.627 billion).
