The project on Viet Nam Ancestral Global Day is aimed at preserving and advertising the worship of Hung Kings overseas, organizing dialogues, conferences and seminars for cultural exchanges between Viet Nam and other nations in the world and introducing the values of Viet Nam’s cultural values to the world.

The worship of Hung Kings in Phu Tho was recognized by UNESCO as intangible culture heritage of humanity in 2013.

The worship rituals of Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the country, have existed for thousands of years. The rituals are performed in a unique traditional ceremony in the Hung Kings Temple Festival in Phu Tho Province. The annual festival, which falls on the 10th day of the third lunar month, was recognized as a national event in 2007.

Hung Kings have become a cultural and spiritual symbol as well as a moral support for the people of Viet Nam.
