Coded VN-A897, this is the first A350 aircraft in the world to showcase the SkyTeam livery with Viet Nam Airlines logo on the fuselage.

From now, the last two of A350-900 out of a total of 14 are due to be delivered in 2019.

SkyTeam chief executive Perry Cantarutti said: “As a valued member of SkyTeam for over eight years, we would like to congratulate Viet Nam Airlines on the delivery of their 12th and very beautiful A350.

“We are of course, extra proud of this particular plane as it will fly the SkyTeam livery around the world. We look forward to seeing it on the runway and in the skies.”

The plane was put into use for the Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City route on April 15.

In the first quarter of 2018, Viet Nam Airlines operated nearly 33,000 safe flights, up 4.3% over the same period last year.

With a widespread flight network featuring more than 90 air routes to destinations in Viet Nam and around the world, Vietnam Airlines is one of the key airlines of Viet Nam and the region.
