Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant generates record 20 bln kWh

VGP – As of March 30, 2018, Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant, located in Tuy Phong, the southern province of Binh Thuan, generated 20 billion kWh of power for the national grid.

The operation of the first coal-fueled thermal power plant in the south has made crucial contributions to satisfying the power demand for the nation’s development, ensuring to provide electricity for provinces in the South in general and Binh Thuan Province in particular.

In the dry season, the plant generated 3-4 billion kWh, bringing the total capacity for the year to around 7 billion kWh.

Vinh Tan 2 thermal power plant has created 375 jobs for local people and contributed more than VND240 billion to the local budget.
