PM visits Chu Dau ceramic village in Hai Duong

VGP – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Chu Dau ceramic village in Nam Sach district and toured the Chu Dau Ceramic Joint Stock Company, one of the pioneers in preserving, developing, and promoting the value of Chu Dau ceramic, as part of his working program in the northern province of Hai Duong.

Watching the ceramic products imbued with Vietnamese traditional cultural identities, the Government leader highly appreciated the collaboration between Hai Duong and the Ha Noi Trade Corporation (Hapro) in developing the Chu Dau Ceramic JSC.

He said international guests expressed their admiration for Chu Dau ceramic products when they received them as gifts from him, stating that Chu Dau ceramic impresses consumers with its subtle decorative patterns and enamel.

However, there are very few craft villages with well-known products, such as Chu Dau ceramic, in Viet Nam at present, he noted, adding that they could even be counted on the fingers.

The PM highlighted the need for cohesion between production and consumption, whilst urging the continuous application of scientific and technological advances to production in order to further improve the quality of Chu Dau ceramic, not only as a product of Hai Duong but also as a national product.

The Government will issue support policies for Chu Dau ceramic artisans, in terms of science, technology, and necessary rewards, towards developing this kind of valuable product in a stronger fashion.

Earlier, PM Phuc presented the Chu Duc Ceramic JSC the words “Chu Dau Ceramic – Vietnamese Identity, Shining Globally”.
