PM chairs banquet with leaders from GMS nations

VGP – Six nations in the Mekong River sub-region should join hands in maintaining peace and enhancing cooperation to make the region become the one of integration, sustainable development and prosperity.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc made that statement at a banquet for high-ranking leaders attending the sixth Mekong Greater Sub-Region Summit (GMS-6) and 10th Cambodia – Laos – Viet Nam Development Triangle Summit (CLV-10) in Ha Noi on March 30. 

Speaking at the event, the PM welcomed all delegates to the first largest multi-lateral diplomatic events of Viet Nam in 2018. 

The PM hailed the success of the first-ever GMS Summit where nations in the GMS manifested their visions and priorities, shared economic potentials with investors and development partners as well as connected investors and businesses with their Governments.   

The responsibility of the Government is to create a developing environment, upholding huge resources to lead the nation to sustainable development, he asserted.

Earlier, within the framework of the GMS-6 and CLV-10, a photo exhibition on the 25th anniversary of Greater Mekong Sub-region opened at the National Convention Center on March 30. 

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, leaders from nations in the GMS, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the World Bank (WB) cut the ribbon to launch the exhibition. 

The exhibition includes 60 photos, focusing on achievements in cooperation within nations in the GMS.
