VN, France enhance navy cooperation

VGP – Viet Nam and France have strengthened defense cooperation in all fields of training, medical military, navy, flight safety, defense industry and cyber security.

The statement was made during the meeting between Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army Nguyen Phuong Nam and French army commander for Asia Pacific Rear Admiral Denis Bertrand on March 20 in Ha Noi.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nam affirmed that Viet Nam People’s Army will create favorable conditions for the two nations to enhance meetings and exchanges to accelerate defense cooperation in the future.

Rear Admiral Denis Bertrand asserted to make more contributions to promoting the two nations’ relationship, especially in navy.

Earlier on March 19, in Hai Phong City, Mr. Denis Bertrand visited Viet Nam People’s Navy and met Rear Admiral Hoang Hong Ha, Deputy-Commander of the Navy Hoang Hong Ha.
