PM attends VN-New Zealand Business Forum

Speaking at the forum, the PM highlighted that Viet Nam has made improvements in the business environment over the recent years, especially the nation posting an economic growth of 7.41% in the first quarter of 2018, the highest figure ever recorded. 

The Vietnamese Government will continue improving its business environment to attract more domestic and foreign investment, ensuring investors’ rights as regulated, he affirmed, expecting that the forum will create an opportunity for the two sides for further cooperation for mutual benefits and development. 

The PM expressed his thanks to the Kiwi Government and its enterprises to facilitate the organization of the event, hoping that contracts signed after the forum will make contribution to the future celebration of the 45^th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties.   

The PM expected that Kiwi businesses will discuss and exchange ways for further cooperation in the context that the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CP TPP) was inked. 

The two nations need to enhance cooperation in prioritized areas as such as education and training as well as other areas including food safety, organic and smart agriculture and infrastructure, he added. 

PM Phuc directly answered issues raised by the Kiwi businesses on the improvement of the business environment and policy on investment in infrastructure development. 

He witnessed the signing ceremony of the cooperative agreements in agriculture and education.  

At the forum, Kiwi Minister for Agriculture, Biosecurity, Food Safety and Rural Communities Damien O'Connor hailed the success of Viet Nam’s economy, adding that the Kiwi business community will deepen the trade relations with Viet Nam.

He expected that the forum will create valuable connection to bring benefits for both.
