VN becomes Laos’s third largest trade partner

VGP – Viet Nam was the third largest partner of Laos in 2017 after Thailand and China, according to the Lao Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vientianes Times reported that two-way trade turnover between Laos and Viet Nam reached over US$ 1.27 billion in 2017 of which Laos imported US$ 552 million from Viet Nam.

Thailand, China, and Viet Nam were the largest trade partners of Laos, making greatest investment in Laos.

Laos's key export markets included Thailand, China, Viet Nam, India, Japan, Germany, and the U.S./.
