Trade Minister talks CPTPP’s impacts on VN’s economy

Speaking at press conference after the signing ceremony, Chilean Foreign Minister Healdo Muños said that the trade deal is a strong signal "against protectionist pressures, in favor of a world open to trade".

The economies included in the CPTPP account for 13.5 percent of world GDP – worth a total of US$10 trillion.

"The door is open for like-minded parties to join the CPTPP once it has entered into force," said Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) in a statement. Minister for Trade and Industry (Trade) Lim Hng Kiang said: "Singapore looks forward to the implementation of the CPTPP."
