The Resolution, issued on January 16, 2012, focuses on four key areas including traffic, electricity supply, irrigation and climate change response and urban infrastructure.

The Resolution is aimed at raising the quality of construction and realizing the infrastructure development master plan, strongly attracting and effectively using investment capital sources for infrastructure development and raising the effectiveness of state management of infrastructure investment.

Speaking at the meeting, the PM referred to delays in the implementation of many projects, traffic jams and hospital overload.

PM Phuc asked ministries, agencies and localities to seek for new resources for the national development, asserting that socialization is necessary for the State, investors and people to gain benefits.

Infrastructure development heads to improving socio-economic development and people’ lives.  Besides physical infrastructure, it is crucial to concentrate on education and health care, he added.

He proposed seeking for suitable resources such as the Government bonds, project bonds and international bonds for infrastructure development.
