State President asks for better health care services

VGP – State President Tran Dai Quang called upon the medical staff to improve the quality of medical check-up and treatment for people.

The Head of State made the request on February 26 in Ha Noi while attending the 63th anniversary of the Viet Nam Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955-February 27, 2018) at Bach Mai Hospital. 

On behalf of Party and State leaders, State President Quang awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal to the Hospital; the First-Class Labor Medal to Doctor Nguyen Quoc Anh, the Director of Bach Mai Hospital. 

State President Quang said that in the era of industrialization, modernization, and international integration, the country is facing risks of environmental pollution, disease transmission, and other challenges in health care. In addition, there are higher demand for better medical services. 

He called upon professors, doctors, health care staff, and public servants in general and in Bach Mai hospital in particular to renovate and fulfill the key tasks of training and providing refresher courses for health workers and promoting international cooperation to further improve the quality of medical check-up and treatment for patients. 

The State President also proposed the medical sector to develop spearhead techniques especially those relating to heart, emergency rescue, intensive care, poison control, nerve, nuclear medicine, tumors, image analysation, biochemistry, and microbiology; and transferring them to  grass-roots hospitals./.
