VN’s airports serve 94 million passengers in 2017

VGP - Viet Nam’s airports served about 94 million passengers and transported an estimated 1.34 million tons of freight last year, up 16% and 19%, respectively, from 2016, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAA).

The CAA reported over 7.8 million passengers passed through the airports in January, a year-on-year increase of 4.3%.

Vietnamese airlines carried 3.7 million passengers, up 5.2% year on year.

The Viet Nam Air Traffic Management Corporation handled more than 34,400 flight arrivals and departures and over 34,600 transit flights.
