The event is held under support from the Viet Nam Embassy in the Republic of Korea and the Korea Foundation.

The exhibition, themed ‘Beautiful Moments in Asia’, features 36 paintings by 17 of the RoK’s painters and 19 pieces by 19 different Vietnamese artists.

Covering diverse genres and using materials such as lacquer, oil paints, inks, the RoK’s ink, jiangjipaper, ‘Do’ paper and silk, the works depict the beauty of the two country’s landscapes as well as the daily life of their peoples.

Chairman of the Ha Noi Fine Arts Association Pham Kim Binh said in recent years, Viet Nam and the RoK have continually strengthened their friendly relations, especially in the fields of culture and arts. Stressing that further achievements for both sides lay ahead, he said he expects cultural activities like the art exhibition will help enhance Korean understanding about Viet Nam and stimulate bilateral engagements.

The exhibition is expected to contribute to promoting a cultural and arts exchange, as well as mutual understanding between the two peoples.

The event runs until February 10.
