Government convenes first regular meeting in 2018

It is necessary to have righteous awareness and drastic actions as the global situation has changed complicatedly, he emphasized.

The Government chief repeated that economic development is a “marathon race” but the pace of advancement depends on how we innovate and the level of our determination to better ourselves.

He stressed the need to double efforts in improving institutions, mechanisms and policies to create a favorable business environment.

This year, the Government will continue focusing on reduction of business costs, including transportation fees, PM Phuc said.

He tasked the Ministry of Transport to draw balance sheets of build-operate-transfer (BOT) projects to decide proper levels of road toll fees in order to harmonize the interests between the State and businesses.

PM Phuc also announced the Government will organize some thematic conferences in the first quarter this year in a bid to seek ways to realize its policies and solutions effectively./.
