In Viet Nam, cancer is responsible for 94,000 deaths each year, ranking Viet Nam among the 50 countries with the highest rate of cancer fatalities.
The event, initiated by the Hung Viet Cancer Hospital, will feature the participation of doctors and experts from the hospital and some popular Vietnamese artists.
It is an opportunity to raise public awareness of early cancer detection.
According to the World Health Organisation, the number of people diagnosed with cancer each year worldwide has leapt to more than 14 million, with over 8 million dying from the disease, a number higher than the deaths due to HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis.
