VGP – The Prime Minister has recently approved the task of making general planning on the construction of the Ba Den Mountain national tourist area in the southern province of Tay Ninh up to 2035.

January 30, 2018 3:20 PM GMT+7

Accordingly, the Ba Den Mountain national tourism area will be developed into a special tourism center for culture, spirituality, recreation, sports and eco-tourism, providing high-end accommodation and services, and serving scientific and eco-system research activities.

The general planning scope of the tourist area covers 3,000 hectares in Tay Ninh city’s Ninh Son, Ninh Thanh and Thanh Tan communes and part of Duong Minh Chau district’s Phan commune.

The general planning needs to analyse and evaluate natural conditions, socio-economic conditions, population, labor, culture, land use, landscape architecture, technical infrastructure, environment, and other specific characteristics.

In addition, the planning should assess the reality and requirements in terms of infrastructure, services, natural resources and humanity resources to serve tourism development; existing shortcomings in tourism management and development; the current status of tourism service development; and the potential and ability to exploit the land fund for effective tourism development.

Also, the planning needs to evaluate the position and regional relationship of the Ba Den Mountain national tourism area in the connection with Tay Ninh city, Dau Tieng Lake, other potential tourism sites of Tay Ninh province, Ho Chi Minh City and the entire Southeastern region. It should clearly identify the objectives and development viewpoints for the national tourist area.
