The PM said he has called on the American Bar Association (ABA) to help the Viet Nam Bar Federation (VBF) improve its capacity in the face of increasingly complicated disputes when Viet Nam is pushing international integration in economy, investment trade and.

The Vietnamese Government always creates the best possible conditions for the legal profession to develop in a democratic and transparent society, to ensure the law is enforced in the best way. 

He highly valued outcomes of the working session between the ABA and the VBF, particularly the cooperation agreement just signed by the two sides. 

Applauding the workshop on professional ethics of lawyers jointly held by the two associations the same day, PM Phuc expressed his hope that the ABA’s experience in building a code of ethics of lawyers will be useful to the VBF. 

Hilarie Bass pledged that the ABA will support the VBF in its development process, and continue to tighten relations between the two associations in the future.
