Resolution on Gov’t conference with localities

VGP – The Government has recently issued Resolution 138/NQ-CP on the conference with local administrations and the regular Cabinet meeting in December 2017.

At Resolution 138/NQ-CP, the Government approved of the theme of 2018 as “rule adherence, integrity, action, innovation, efficiency.”

The Government tasked ministries, agencies, and localities to uphold achievements; overcome weaknesses; build an effective and transparent  administrative system, and fulfill socio-economic development tasks and the State budget estimate in 2018 and for 2016-2020. 

Preparing for upcoming Lunar New Year festival

The Government tasked ministries, agencies, and localities to prepare conditions for people to welcome the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival; pay attention to hunger, especially those in natural disaster-hit, difficulty-ridden, and ethnic minority areas; seriously abide by Directive 16-CT/TW, dated December 22, 2017 of the Secretariat on organizing Tet 2018; Directive 48/CT-TTg, dated December 27, 2017 of the PM on enhancing the management and operation to stabilize the market and ensure social order and safety during Tet holiday 2018; Public telegraph 1882/CD-TTg, dated December 8, 2017 on transport safety. 

Improving business environment

The Government tasked localities to continue improve the business environment, productivity and competitiveness of every sector and areas towards the goal of getting the country into the top 4 of ASEAN in terms of competitiveness and business environment.  

Ministries, agencies, and localities were requested to streamline a half of business conditions for goods and products. 

Strengthening legal institutions

The Government asked ministries and ministerial-level agencies to build plans for the revision and making of legal documents, requiring that ministers and heads of agencies to take direct charge of the work in order to timely remove shortcomings of existing laws and regulations related to land, construction, housing, investment, business and social welfare policies.  

Renovating administrative procedures

The Government assigned localities to  better dialogues with people and the reception and processing of petitions on problems arising during the implementation of mechanisms, policies and laws, in order to timely report to relevant ministries and agencies for settlement.  

Ministries, agencies, and localities were urged to accomplish tasks which are stipulated at Resolution 36a/NQ-CP, dated October 14, 2015 on schedule; build mechanisms and policies on IT application, information safety, and e-Government towards the goal of all units of ministries, centrally-run agencies and provincial People’s Committee working online by the end of 2018./.
