DPM receives newly-appointed Cuban Ambassador

VGP – Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh proposed Viet Nam and Cuba enhance bilateral cooperation, focusing on upgrading economic and trade relations to be equal to the two nations’ political relationship.

The Deputy PM made that statement at his reception for newly-appointed Cuban Ambassador to Viet Nam Lianys Torres Rivera on January 9 in Ha Noi.

He hailed the two nations’ relations have been strengthened in fields of politics, economics-trade, security-defense and diplomacy, asserting that Viet Nam is willing to assist Cuba in its national development process and overcoming consequences caused by natural calamity. 

The occasion, he congratulated the Cuban Government and people on the 59th anniversary of the National Day of Cuba (January 1, 1959)

Ms. Lianys Torres Rivera expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government and people for their support for Cuba over the recent years. 

She affirmed she will make efforts to promote the two nations’ relations more effectively in the coming time.
