VN's population reaches 93.7 million

VGP – Viet Nam’s total population in 2017 was estimated at 93.7 million, an increase of 987,300 people or 1.07% against the previous year, including 32.9 million and 60.8 million living in urban and rural areas, making up 35.1% and 64.9%, respectively.

The numbers of males and females reached 46.2 million and 47.5 million, accounting for 49.3% and 50.7% of the population, respectively.

The average age in 2017 was around 73.5 (70.9 for males and 76.2 for females).
