Gov’t supports judicial cooperation with Laos

VGP – The Vietnamese Government always advocates and facilitates cooperation between the court systems of Viet Nam and Laos, contributing to the development of each side.

Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh made the above statement at his reception for Chief Judge of the Lao Supreme People’s Court Khamphanh Sitthidampha in Ha Noi on January 5.

The support of Vietnamese court sector to its Lao counterpart is a vivid manifestation of the special friendship between the two countries Parties and States, Binh said

The Vietnamese leader urged the Lao court sector to actively realize the cooperation agreements reached between the two countries and organize mutual exchanges of visits for Lao and Vietnamese officials.

Viet Nam always makes its utmost, in any circumstances, to preserve the traditional relationship and special solidarity with Laos, he emphasized.

Mr. Khamphanh Sitthidampha announced that the Lao court sector  launched a series of cooperation activities, focusing on judge training and increased the exchange of delegations at both central and local levels.

He expressed thanks the Vietnamese court sector’s assistance, especially in personnel training.

On this occasion, Khamphanh Sitthidampha handed over an insignia of the Lao court sector to Deputy PM Binh to honor his contributions to the formation and development of the Lao People’s Supreme Court.
