Trade fair promoting Thai products launched

This event aims to bolster cooperation and trade between the two nations. On show at 150 booths of the fair are products of 100 firms from Thailand, including food and beverages, household appliances, textile, jewellery, electric devices, health care products, car parts, bicycles and accessories, and others.

According to the Thai Embassy, along with exhibitions and trade fairs, trade promotion activities for Thai products have been implemented in Viet Nam’s market over the years. 

Trade relations between the two countries have seen strong growth. Two-way trade hit US$15 billion in 2017, a rise of 20% year-on-year. Especially, Thailand is Viet Nam’s largest trade partner in ASEAN and the 10th leading investor in the country.

The trade fair will contribute to the bilateral trade relations as the two nations deepen their strategic partnership and aim to bring trade turnover to US$20 billion by 2020.

The event, was co-organised by the Office of Commercial Affairs of the Thai Embassy in Viet Nam and the Viet Nam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad).

The event runs until January 7.
