Consumers encouraged to use biofuel

VGP – Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung has assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), to continue implementing a national communication program to encourage consumers to use biofuel.

The deputy PM highly appreciated the MOIT’s efforts in actively collaborating with ministries, sectors, localities and petrol dealers to effectively implement the roadmap of replacing RON 92 petrol with E5 RON 92 biofuel on the market from January 1, 2018.

He asked the MOIT to continue working with ministries, sectors and localities to accelerate the effective implementation of production, distribution and use of Ethanol E100 and E5 RON 92 biofuel, towards the complete replacement of RON 92 petrol.

Dung requested the MOIT, in collaboration with relevant ministries, sectors and localities, to focus on reviewing and assessing the implementation of the PM’s decisions, including Decision No. 177/2007/QD-TTg dated November 20, 2017 on approving the biofuel development scheme until 2015, vision to 2025, and Decision No. 53/2012/QD-TTg dated November 22, 2012 on the promulgation of a roadmap on applying the blending rate between biofuels and traditional fuels.
