Party, State, NA leaders join Gov’t meeting

The event was attended by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Tran Dai Quang and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim NganẢnh. This is the first time the Party and State leaders have attended a Government meeting.

Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue presented a draft Government’s Resolution on key tasks and measures on socio-economic development norms and budget estimate for 2018. Resolution 01 would be the most important document of the Government. 

Accordingly, the Government defined action orientations for 2018 as “discipline, integrity, action, creativity, and efficiency;” and key regulations as continuing keeping macro-economic stability, making practical and clear changes in the implementation of strategic breakthroughs, economic restructuring in combination with growth model, higher productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness; encouraging  creativity, business start-up, business development and economic growth; drastically implementing administrative reform, discipline, and law enforcement; fighting corruption and wastefulness. 

The draft resolution pointed out nine groups of tasks, 59 key specific solutions. The Government assigned ministries, agencies, and localities to implement 242 specific tasks.

At the meeting, participants will look into the Government’s performances in 2017, the implementation of Resolutions 19 and 35 on improving the investment and business climate and supporting businesses, the implementation of the PM’s Directive 16/CT-TTg on improving the capacity to get access to Industry 4.0, administrative reforms, the settlement of complaints and denunciations and the corruption fight./.
