Transporting 200 million passengers in more than two decades is a crucial milestone for Viet Nam Airlines, said Viet Nam Airlines General Director Duong Tri Thanh, attributing the achievement to the trust of millions of domestic and international passengers and efforts of Viet Nam Airlines over the past two decades.

It also manifested the role of Viet Nam Airlines in the nation’s economic development and its bridging role in cultural and political exchanges between the regions in the nation and between Viet Nam and the world.

Within the recent 22 years, Viet Nam Airlines gained more than VND777 trillion in revenue with the average growth of 15.62% per year, contributing VND41 trillion  to the State budget.

At the event, Viet Nam Airlines also officially launched “Flights of Love” – an activity for the good of the community to support projects aimed at better living. The first three projects of “Flights of Love” were Flood Housing Relief, Heart Foundation and Operation Smile.
