NA Chairwoman: Singaporean businesses facilitated to invest in VN

The NA Chairwoman made that statement on November 27 while attending the Viet Nam-Singapore Business Dialogue in Singapore. 

Speaking at the event, Ms. Ngan highly valued Singapore as one of the first nations supporting Viet Nam’s renovation works.

Singapore was Viet Nam’s largest economic partner in ASEAN and ranked sixth among Viet Nam’s trade partners in the world, she said, adding that Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Parks have been regarded as successful models in the two nations’ economic relations.     

Ms. Ngan committed that Viet Nam will continue setting up a favorable environment and factors facilitating the economy such as infrastructure, financial system development and human resource development.

She announced business and investment opportunities in Viet Nam, including the nation’s completion of the legal framework and facilitation of Private-Public Partnership (PPP) model in infrastructure development. 

In the upcoming time, Viet Nam will announce prioritized projects in form of PPP, she said, expressing her hope that Singaporean investment funds and corporations will pour more investment in new PPP projects in Viet Nam in fields of infrastructure development, logistics, aviation services, tourism, healthcare, education, science and technology, biology, the environment, high tech agriculture and support industry. 

The nation is enhancing start-up and connect its start-up eco-system with the global and regional areas, Ms. Ngan affirmed, encouraging Singaporean businesses to invest in Viet Nam through risk investment funds and share experience with the Vietnamese enterprises. 

The occasion, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between Da Nang City’s People’s Committee and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF).
